The Saqlawi Jidran stallions/colts and Saqlawiyah Jidraniyah mares/fillies of Rancho Bulakenyo descend from either Roga El Beda (in the stud of Ali Pasha Sherif) or from Ghazieh (in the stud of Abbas Pasha). The Roga El Beda family comes down through *Bint Mona or *Hoyeda. The Ghazieh line comes through *Maaroufa (through Yamama) or *Wadeea (though Bint Helwa).

Genetic testing using mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) testing established that Lady Anne Blunt was correct that Yamama was descended from Ghazieh, and that certain other later records assigning the Yamama descendant *Maaroufa to the Kuhaylah Jedraniyah strain were in error. Horses with a tail-female line to *Maaroufa are designated with an asterisk next to the strain name (*Saqlawi Jidran or *Saqlawiyah Jedraniyah).
